176 Anderson Avenue Suite F109 Rochester, New York

It’s time for all things floral and we are going. all. out. Join us, The Botanist and our wonderful sponsor, Love Beets, for Spring Fling: A day of crafting, shopping, and lounging inspired by the season.

In between shopping from 22+ vendors, Planting It Forward with PlantsROC, making a pinch planter with Ritual Clay Company, and taking a class, you’re invited to relax in the Love Beets lounge with complimentary bites and mocktails. East Coast Toast Truck will be on-site with lunch, too!

So what is Plant It Forward with PlantsROC and how does it work? Bring with you one, healthy plant (potted, pest free, in a 4″-8″ sized pot). Get creative with it: add a little character to the soil, a flag, a memento, etc. to brighten someone’s day! Write a little care card, a pick me up, words of wisdom or gratitude to include with it for the next plant owner to take home with them. When you drop your plant at the PlantsROC table you’ll be gifted a plant from the previous person.

What do you need to know about making your own pinch planter? Ritual Clay Company will be set-up and showing you how to make your own hanging pinch planter in just 10-15 minutes! Tools will be provided so you can carve into your planter if they wanted to to make it uniquely you! Ritual Clay Company will fire the planters at her studio and they’ll be available for pick-up shortly after Spring Fling. ($6/planter).

Fairport Canal Days is one of the most popular arts festivals in the Northeast, attracting close to 200,000 visitors on the first weekend of June every year. The festival features over 200 artisans, as well as a variety of music venues, food items, and booths by Fairport Perinton Merchants Association members who produce the event. The Canal Days festival began in the mid 1970s, growing exponentially over the years, but always remaining a family-friendly event with something for everyone.
Located on the historic Erie Canal, Fairport is a village filled with charm and character. Having received its name in the early 1800’s from a traveler who declared it a “fair port”, it remains a showcase stop for boaters to this day. Fairport’s “front porch friendly” streets echo its past with beautiful Victorian homes and historic buildings, blended with modern facilities and parks.
The first word that comes to mind for many when describing Fairport is “community”. Fairport Canal Days is the epitome of this word, a volunteer run event that welcomes you to be part of our community.

In Buffalo, New York, on one special weekend each June, it is indeed art that makes life for the tens of thousands of people who visit the Allentown Art Festival. Since its modest beginnings as a small art show in 1958, the Allentown Art Festival has become not only Buffalo’s urban rite, but a symbol for the enduring character of this re-emerging rustbelt region. It has earned an important place in Buffalo’s cultural and social life and a national reputation for excellence.

The Allentown Art Festival is especially remarkable, having persevered and prospered for over 60 years largely due to the members of the Allentown Art Festival, Inc, a volunteer, not-for-profit organization of nearly 30 regular working members. Their labors have borne fruit beyond the annual Allentown Art Festival weekend and beyond the boundaries of the Allentown neighborhood of Buffalo.
